Training Methods
In these times of the Information Age - there is more ideas, options and methods to more trainings that one could even imagine to train for their whole lives.
One of the responsibilities we have is to find and implement the best strategies to get our students to their next level in the safest and practical timeframe as possible.
This has lead us to our phrase of - Timeless Traditions, Modern Methods and crafting our School Culture to help implement it.

School Culture
The best training methods can only reach their maximum effectiveness when the culture of the class and school is positioned correctly. As generations of students change the culture of the class has to be aligned with it.
”Back in the Day” - classes were extremely long, extremely taxing and had many militaristic elements to them. This made sense for the time, as most students had served in the military - thus providing a familiar learning environment. Today’s students might find this environment foreign and it could actually slow their learning process.
To help overcome this we have reshaped the class culture - some formalities have been shed, uniforms have been updated and the tone of the class is focused on applied learning. The goal of each class is that the student will be able to build on the previous class and grow their martial skills in a fun and engaging way.

Timeless Traditions, Modern Methods
Timeless Traditions are concepts and principles that make the core of our Wing Chun Training System. We hold strongly to these as they help define our view of engaging an opponent, conditioning one’s body and developing body mechanics.
Modern Methods are selected with help from our leadership team with varied backgrounds in Certified Personal Training, Long Term Kung Fu Practitioners and Trainers in other Contact sports. The goal is to develop and adapt various drills to a Wing Chun modality to improve learning and application for our students.
As the saying goes - Principles never change but methods do.
